Bush Track Horseracing in Georgia
(Unsanctioned Horseracing)
Georgia's bush tracks run horse races nearly every weekend with no oversight at all:

-
No USDA APHIS mandated checks of health certificates of these Quarter Horse racehorses trailered from track to track, state to state every weekend are known for carrying incurable, contagious equine disease, originating from Mexico.
-
No oversight of controlled substances under the DEA.

-
No oversight that would deter gambling illegal in the state of Georgia, trafficking of controlled substances nor money laundering.

These tracks are well documented hubs of illegal activity that has become a booming national problem affecting every state in the South as well as the mid section of the U.S.. This is corroborated by a growing list of sources:
-
National press
-
U.S. Congress
-
AVMA
-
USAHA
-
Texas DPS
-
CA Racing Association
-
American Horse Council, etc...

Bush track racing should be banned in the state of Georgia. No horseracing without oversight for both public safety and equine welfare should take place anywhere in the U.S. Our proposal is below with recommended bill language.
